In Loving Memory of my "Nipper"

Nipper passed away today in my arms March 18, 2008 at 1:30pm after suffering arthritis for some time and then a stroke. She was the best dog I have ever known. She was very loyal and sweet to everyone she would meet. Everyone will remember her tail wagging and hitting everything like a drum, or the bark at the door to say hello, and never being able to wear black or you'd leave with white hair along! We will miss her soft fur that shed all over our house, but now we miss it. She will be missed by so many hearts she touched. Nipper could leap like a deer when she was a younger dog, as if she had spring in her legs. Now she will be in heaven with springs back in her legs greeting all of her doggie friends who have gone before her. She will have angel wings and will be our guardian angel forever XO -Your Loving Family

Tracey, so sorry to hear about Nipper's death. I am sure that must have been a very difficult time for all of you. At least Nipper didn't die alone! I remember how sad it was to lose each of my pets. I even felt sad when my "pet" spider ("Alexander") and my worm ("Twiggy") died. Those were my first two pets! :) Later on I had real pets: a hamster, Parakeet, cat, wild baby bunny (its mother had been killed by a cat), and a green chicken that I had gotten for Easter.

Trace and family…I am so sorry for your loss. Nipper has been such a big part of your family. She had a wonderful life here on earth. with people that loved her!

Hi Tracey - Jo and Caitlyn are in Sydney, due back this Friday, for Cait’s ballet intensive so I am responding to your extremely sad e-mail. We are all saddened at the passing of Nipper and our thoughts are with you and your family at this time. Nipper was a truly great dog who gave affection and love to all and asked for only a cuddle in return, as Jo found out in 2001. Looking forward to catching up again this August.
Take care,
David

Hey Trace,
I’m so sad to hear about Nipper… She was such a sweet girl.. I loved what you did on your blog…I tried to comment on it but I don’t think it went through.. Some of those pics made me laugh though… reminded me of how much like a cat she was sometimes… always curling herself up into a ball, and squeezing herself between you and the end of the couch… she loved to snuggle up close regardless of how little room there was… just like a cat!. I have a great pic of her and me having a cuddle together.. sitting on the bench seat on your front deck. I’m really sad that I won’t see her when we are there in August, but I have wonderful memories and photos of my time with her when we were there last. There are a very few dogs that I've met that i have actually liked...
and she was one of the few...
Love to you all there
Jo xoxo

Tracey,
Tears are welling up in my eyes as I read this--I'm so sorry--it is a huge loss and I bet you'll not feel the same for quite awhile. It is at times like this, though, that knowing there's a Heaven, helps make it feel a bit better!
Mandy

Tracey,
I promise it will get better but it will take a while. Just thinking about Nipper makes me sad about my puppies. I looked at the pictures and they are absolutely adorable.

I Am So Sorry To Hear Of Nippers Passing She Will Be Missed And I Believe She Is In Heaven - Love You Guys -Bill Miller

I feel sad. I am glad you where with her during her passing, she loved you all so. I never knew her when she was young and springie, but I did get glimpse of her excitement. Yes, she had a full life, and no longer in any pain. I sent your messages about Nipper to my friend Donna. She works at an animal shelter. She is the one that is alwasy sending me animals emails. Her responce to me I had to share: Sounds like Nipper had a wonderful family. And to pass away in her guardian's arms is quite a blessing. –Donna
Not a dry eye here. Hey remember Halloween?...Crula Da Vil Love you guys, Linda

Oh. Tracey! :o( I am so sorry. I’ll miss Nipper greeting us at the front door.
Does Rachel know? I won’t say anything when I pick her up this afternoon.
Please let me know if you need anything.
God bless you, Jill

oh Tracey, I'm sorry for your loss. I'm glad you could hold her, and just remember all the love and good times. She is no longer in discomfort and that is a blessing. I know that loss is sad, so I will pray for you and your family.

Love you ~ Barb
Sorry , She's probably feeling much better in puppy heaven. – Ted

Aw Tracey—I’m so sorry—I’m glad you were with her, though. You’re right—she’s in a much better place and feeling a lot more like her younger self.
Love you, sister…

Oh Tracey....I'm so sorry for you and your family! Our dog Snickers is 12 1/2 and I dread the day! I was going to tell you, Whitney just got a dog. We almost tried a different route by getting a big dog, a Golden Retriever, but at the last minute changed her mind and got a Westie. He is three months old and weighs three pounds! I found him yesterday on the shelf thing of my end table on top of a small photo album trying to chew on it. He's sooooooooo little bitty, but we’ve only had him a week and a half. I hate puppydom.
Talk to you later,
Deb
